St. Louis Park has many shopping centers, with the two more popular being The Shoppes at Knollwood, and The Shops at West End. The Shops at West End are located near the local Costco, and in addition to shopping also have a variety of restaurants and a highly rated Showplace Icon movie Theatre.

With a total of 56 parks (and one aquatic park) with playground and sporting facilities, trails, streams and ponds, there is no shortage of nature in St. Louis Park. There are many trails that lead to Bde Maka Ska in Minneapolis as well. Westwood Hills Nature Preserve is a 160-acre marsh, woods, and prairie area that many animals call home. The preserve is open year-round and offers activities and programs for all ages.
