In addition to various local businesses, the Albertville Premium Outlets are also just a three mile drive from central St Michael.

The city of St Michael has 19 parks, and an addition of three regional parks surrounding the town. The Pelican Lake Waterfowl Refuge, Bebee Lake County Park and the Crow-Hassan Park reserve provide valuable open space and a wide range of activities to the population of St Michael and nearby towns.
